TESTIMONIALS CRISTINA’S CANYON TOURS

We just returned from a fabulous trip to Copper Canyon led by Cristina. She did an excellent job in organizing every trip detail including our transportation, hotels, meals, but most of all our experiences. I highly recommend her services for one of the best journeys in Copper Canyon.

¡ Feliz Semana Santa!

Un abrazo Antonio y Tuti.‬

Dear Cristina

I did not get a chance to adequately thank you for the incredible trip you planed for our group. You thought of everything. I've never had a trip go so smoothly with everything on time and everything as proposed so no surprises. The hotels you selected for us were outstanding and there are no words to describe our guide, Gustavo, as he excelled at driving, knowledge, attitude and congeniality. Anyone who expresses concern about travel in Mexico has not traveled with Cristinas Canyon Tours. I look forward to having another opportunity to travel with you again the future.

For anyone traveling to Copper Canyon, Cristina's Canyon Tours is the way to go.

She will tailor any trip to each person's individual needs and budget.  The hotel accommodations were perfect.  The food equally also good.  All the arrangements were perfect at a very reasonable cost.  Personal guide, Gustavo wasthebest!!

I have a couple of recommendations for your clients.

They are as follows: If you see something you might want to buy don't wait until you get to the place where they make them because they might not have what you wanted. There were some necklaces and bracelets that I wanted but I thought I could find them in another place and they didn't have them. That one town where the train stopped and the women were selling those beautiful baskets are another example. We didn't see any as beautiful in any other place that I can remember. (San Rafael) The whole trip was very well organized by Cristina. We stayed in very comfortable, pleasant hotels and I thought the food was good. If people have a low-salt diet they should mention that to the waiters. Gustavo was the very best tour guide we could have hoped for. We expected the tour he took us on the first full day would last 6 hours and it was almost 9 hours. We were honored to meet his wife and he took us for a special treat...one of the local restaurants where we feasted on chili's rellenos and other specialties of the day. And who could forget the waiter who practiced his English using a pocket translator. Yummy yummyyummy for the tummy. I'm sure he is still sad that we left; how can he live without us?

We will never forget the trip.

Abrazotes....Judy

Copper Canyon trip with Cristina´s Canyon Tours
Mar 17, 2014, 1:47 AM
We did a 6 day Copper Canyon vacation Dec 2013 into Jan 2014. We stated at Los Mochis traveled by car to El Fuerte and then by the Chepe train into the canyon. Also did visits to Cerocahui, Bahuichivo, and Urique canyon. What really made the travel fantastic was the guide we hired - Cristina from Cristina’s Canyon Tours. We have never traveled with a guide and really did not know what to expect. Cristina is fantastic. She is an El Fuerte resident and has been providing guide service in the Copper Canyon area for many years. Her knowledge and passion about the area is unsurpassed. She arranged meals, travel, accommodations and accompanied us during our vacation. It made our travel experience effortless. If you are interested in a traveling the area with a guide service We recommend Cristina’s Canyon Tours.

Hi Cristina,

I wanted to give you the initial feedback you requested.
In short, Our trip with you to Copper Canyon could not have been better.

It was worth every penny to have you along on the trip...  you organized the chaos of the train and always gave us very interestting information about the loca,l area and people that we would have never gotten on our own.  We would love to come back with Karas Parents.

Some of the best parts were interacting with the local people.  The guides you picked were great.  Even the young boys on the bikes!!!

We appreciate that you take your guiding so seriously and do such a great job...  we have many people asking about our trip... hopefully they can have you guide them too.

I will also put a review up on Trip Advisor.   If you have any clients that would like to talk with me, feel free to have them email or call.

Thanks again for a great trip, it was one of our best ever.

Bill

*WOW!  What a great trip!   After our extended research of things to see and do in Mexico’s fabulous Copper Canyon, we were very fortunate to have made the acquaintance of Cristina and her very professional services.  Her knowledge of the Copper Canyon area and all the available tours, lodging and dining places made our trip an unforgettable experience.  We were very impressed with her ability to get us such good accommodations for such great rates.
Her attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills left us feeling in good hands at every stop throughout the trip.  The personable tour operators and their knowledge of the area and the efficiency of their tours provided us with information we would never have discovered on our own.
Cristina personally catered to all our needs, from meeting to review the trip in El Fuerte prior to the start, providing us with a detailed itinerary and packet of information, accompanying us to the train station, and a debriefing at the completion of such a well-organized vacation.
We feel we have made a true friend and expect to return to Copper Canyon in the future and will certainly call upon Cristina to work her magic for us.
We highly recommend her services to everyone.

*We had a wonderful time in Mexico and the trip to the Copper Canyon went beautifully. Gustavo, our guide, was fantastic - he was informative, very helpful, and a real gentleman. Thank you for organising such a good guide! We loved the hotel - the position on the canyon's edge is to be seen to be believed. We also enjoyed the gondola, our visit to the 'Valley of the Monks' and seeing the way of life of the Tarahumara.

The train trip on the Chepe was a lot of fun - we met many locals who were happy to talk to us in a mixture of Spanish and English. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Once again, Cristina, thank you so much for putting together a great itinerary at short notice. Everything went smoothly from beginning to end - the guide, train, hotels, tour and food were all terrific!

*" Christina is a very warm individual with years (=decades) of experience, knowledge and interest in all aspects of the copper canyon nature, geography, history, culture and especially including a wide network of individual friends and partners in the area who support her; and this resulted in a great, relaxed hassle free week for our young kids and ourselves.   Christina's services are highly recommended.

In August of 2012 a group of 13 adults between the ages of 58-75 took a delightful trip through the canyon with Cristina for 10 days. It was a fantastic trip and everyone agreed that Cristina is an outstanding guide. She is warm and caring, knowledgeable, very well organized, fully bilingual, and extremely conscientious. People on the trip described it as “fabulous, great, wonderful.” We especially enjoyed being invited into the homes of Raramuri families and we enjoyed every place we stayed. We all would highly recommend Cristina to plan a trip and to be the guide. And everyone in the group felt that the price was very reasonable, especially those who have looked at other tours being offered. We got a great deal and had a great time.

Travelling to the Copper Canyon was the fulfillment of a long-held dream.  Photos of the Canyon, with its dizzying splendour, enchanting colonial towns, and colourfully-dressed Tarahumara, had long beckoned, as had the desire for a more authentic cultural experience than what the coastal all-inclusives had to offer.  We were not to be disappointed.

One of the true delights of our time here was finally meeting Cristina, the vibrant person who engineered this custom-made trip for us.  From the moment we stepped off the bus in Los Mochis, Cristina, with her formidable knowledge of the area and her painstaking attention to detail, catered to our every need and made sure we had the trip of a lifetime.  Sombreros off to you, Cristina.

We loved our trip, and thanks to you, your charm, your excellent planning,
and the fact that Cristina knows each and every person in or around
Barrancas del Cobre.  Not a single major problem.

I wanted to say thank you for a wonderful vacation.  We have been to many places around the world..Well not that many...but alot Ha!  This is the first one where we didn't have to worry about one thing!  We also had alot of adventures and alot of fun.  Elena and I had dinner the other night and we are ready for you to take us on other trip.  We were thinking to going to Belize area, we want to go see the different pyramids.
Thank you again for the wonderful time we had.  We couldn't think of one bad thing.  That says alot for all the days we were with you.
Margarette.

Guillermo Ortiz, El Fuerte, Sinaloa.

The hike in the Copper Canyon was fabulous, but very hard.  We were all tired and happy to get to Batopilas.  It was a world class adventure.
Thank you for helping us makes it possible.
Cathy Wiggins from Olympia, Washington

Cristina, we had a great experience with you and on our hike with Diego!
The scenery was fabulous and the people were friendly and welcoming!
Penny Black from Olympia, Washington

First of all I want to thank you for arranging the El Fuerte and Creel portions of the trip on a very short time line. El Fuerte was a great town, loved the Real de Carapoa and its location on the beautiful central square, the manager/owner was very welcoming. We would definitely stay there again. As you said in your outline, it is very cozy.

Our bird watching with Jesus was a great experience; he was terrific at pointing out and identifying the birds. I was absolutely enthralled with the Petroglyphs, they where beyond my expectation as far as quality and there where far more than I had anticipated. We felt that we could have stayed another day and gone out for a full morning of bird watching.

Creel, was less inviting but we went to the Raramuri Tarahumara Museum our last day in town and it was terrific. We found the Sierra Lodge to be very special and would definitely stay there again. It was a lot of fun going out to dinner with you, really happy that we could meet you; we will pass your name along to friends interested in touring the canyon.

Dear Cristina
It was great to meet you, and enjoy that great dinner.  I think you are a very conscientious leader and I know your company will do well.  I will recommend you to friends who want to go to the Copper Canyon.

Thanks for the great time.  I am now back in the snow and working very hard to earn money for my next trip!
Paulette, from Toronto Canada

In summary - we absolutely loved the Copper Canyon vacation. It was
reasonably priced, not too far for us to travel from home, and unlike
anything we had seen before, although we are all "world travellers" (Andy,
as matter-of-fact, is on the plane to China, even as we speak!!!) This trip
could easily fit into other travel plans, such as Mexican resorts, the Baja,
or New Mexico, as we did! We have many happy memories!
Joy Gilbert, from Toronto Canada

We have the fondest memories of you and the Barranca. Best wishes to you and family!
